GY camp 2006- L.I.F.E

Well it was the best camp that I have ever went.For those of you pre-campers who missed out,all I can say is that "oh well too bad, next year then"!!! To be honest, the games were a little bit boring like hydro war and all because it never seem to end, what with the aliasing of groups and all. Oh well, it started out like this, we arrived early to PD on the 13th and we met in the Bayu Beach Hall. The place were crowded with excited campers. The last bus to arrive was none other than the PJ or USJ bus.

Anyways, when everyone came we started off with a few speeches and icebreaker, followed by the 2003 camp video. It was all wonderful. After a few more annoucements from Larry and Sherrene Teh, followed by Commander Sherrene from Tuck shop.were given a bag to draw slots of our guardian angel games. Oh yeah my guardian angel was none other than Sherrene Teh. I started off by giving her a pinch.Anyways after a few group discussion we went our separate ways for lunch.Oh before that we also had a special presentation from none other than USJ band Transit and also one from our Klang team Catalyst! They were the winners for the camp song competition of 2006!!!Give them a huge applause!!!

After lunch everyone proceeded to the hall for group meeting. Then came the introducing of team leaders and assistant.My group happened to be called ROD. It was chaotic. We had a performance from Zlwin, Alexander Ch'ng and also Andy who were participants in the song writing competition. It was all good. Then we were seperated to our separate rooms.

After unwinding our stuff in the rooms and all, came the telematch. Every few groups were placed under a color. For example, my team was Green!We had all kinds of games and the group that emerged as the winner for that day was Blue,followed by Yellow,Red and finally Green!!! Still, it was all good. After that we went back to our apartments to unwind again and to get ready for dinner.

Later at night we went to the hall after dinner to have our service. It was all good. Pastor Ronald Ooi preached and he had a pre alter call. Then it was lights out. Next day we started off with devotion by group leaders and we moved on to breakfast, then praise and worship. After that campers between 16 years of age and below were separated with the 16years and above age campers and we had different workshops. The workshop I attended was about sex, abortion and all.

Then it was lunch and finally came hydrowar. Hydrowar was the highlight of the whole camp. This time, instead of just protecting our lives and also our own secret VIP. Since it was harder and many groups were aliasing with other. Supposedly, the USJ and PJ were supposed to alias with each other and they were supposed to attack Klang but turned out we attacked them too. The champion was none other than Mat Pancing.

Well then it was washup, dinner and service. This time Pastor Henry was the one preaching. After that we met up with our groups to do the final planning for the posters and also to discuss for the skit. Then it was light outs.

Next day was basically the same ritual, except this time we had skit instead. Every team started finding a spot to practice. The winner of the whole skit was none other than KFC. Well, then it was rest for everyone. Then it was the last night and it was alter call. It was the best highlight of the whole camp. Everyone was just weeping and crying feeling God's pressence. I could feel the adrenaline. This year the prayer committee have achieved a few prayers for camp and I, myself have already achieved two prayers.

So well camp was just awesome!!!! The winner of the whole camp was none other than Desesperado Para Dios!!! Oh well, for those of you guys who missed this year, you better come next year.....Gy camp rocks

Muahahahh! Camp was great! Amen! Will post more about camp, or I'll just get Miss Shannon to do it for me :P. Anyways, just wanna point out something about ther camp t-shirt, the images on the t-shirt, the colour of them are all different! Sigh.. Here's the original t-shirt:

Pre-Camp Service

Fellow campers, please be informed that on the 11th of Decemver 2006, at 2.00pm till 4.00pm, we'll be having a pre-camp service for GY Camp. The service will be help in Dewan GRACE, Chi Liung. It'll be in our MAin Sanctuary because of the large amount of campers (thank GOD!). This service is compulsory because we'll brief you campers on what we're gonna do in camp and all. The activities and those cool stuff we'll be having. And then you'll get to meet your group leader and assistant leader and get to know the name of your group and all. We'll be also announcing this year's GY Camp song and the winner of the Song Writing Competition. So yeah, remember, it's COMPULSORY! Come on, it's on a public holiday! Remember, 11th of December 2006, 2pm till 4pm. God bless.

Yo Peeps.
Prayer meeting for GY Camp will now be held EVERYDAY from 1pm to 2pm starting monday onwards.
We have to really start praying if we want an impact from God in camp. We can plan all these camp stuff and events but do you know that the world can organize better camps than us??? But what makes us different is God in our camp! We can plan a camp but it will be in VAIN if it's not a success. How do we make it a success? We have to enforce the camp with none other than PRAYER! We need prayer to backup the camp so that it will be a success, that when people go, they will come back a changed person! Someone that has a passion for God and lost souls, that's the camp theme. So come'on guys and gals, join us in our prayr meeting everyday from 12pm to 1pm. If you can't come, pray at home (everyday) but it will be good if we all can gather and pray for there is power in numbers.

YO WARRIORS OF JESUS ! ! !
GY Camp 2006 is just around the corner and we have to get urgent with out job (John 9:4) ! We are going to pray and pray and pray non-stop for GY Camp, pray that this year's camp is going to be a really different one! (ok maybe you have heard we people say "it's going to be diffrent" many times and you're just bored with it, but believe me, God is going to do something!) We will have more prayer meetings coming up these few weeks till camp, will let you people know when and where. But please do your part and pray at home, yesterday four dudes were gathered in a house and had a prayer meeting from 9.30pm to 11.35pm and I tell you, these four dudes lost their voice, they prayed till they sweat even though they were in an air-conditioned room! These four dudes really had a great passion for God and for souls and they were just your normal youths. If we keep on praying we will be able to make God move! Prayer moves the hand of God that moves the world ! ! ! You people want something great to happen in GY Camp?! Then start getting on your knees and start praying ! ! !

Prayer meetings on Tuesdays at Sis Kim's house 9.30pm.
Other prayer meetings will be held but have yet to confirm the time, date and place. Come on let's pray and see God move!

Okay, the reason the shape of the shirt is ummm, distorted is because i altered an original shirt and added them black stuff on it. Then I designed the shirt according to the size.

Final day for Early Bird Special in October

Listen up YE-ians or GY-ians. Today is the last day for the Early Bird special for October special. Today is the day where you can get a special registrations for RM 250. Starting from tomorrow, which is the begining of November, the price of the grace youth camp will be RM 270. So if you haven't paid yet, hurry up to the church office and consult Sister Kim to pay your RM 50 registration and to save some costs....

Hey People the newsletter has been currently delayed and it has not yet been released. It will only be released this upcoming 21st October 2006. So yeah, hurry to YE this Saturday, for this anticipated issue(which is still delayed). Much more, there will be an early bird special form for those who registers early which RM250. If you happen to register late in November, the price will increase to RM270 and if you still happen to pay much later which is in December, you will pay RM290. So hurry up and grab this form to save costs, or you can just cut it out of the issue of the newsletter.

For those of you who are equipped with song writing abilities, and feel that you want to help contribute something to camp, you can just join this Song writing competition!!!Yeah, you heard that right, it is a special competition, just for young budding song-writers. So hurry up and grab this wonderful opportunity to express your ability in song writing and who knows it might just be the next wonderful hit like the song No Compromise!!!! For those of you who do not know what that is, it is the 2003 camp!!!!So what are you waiting for, start writing songs people and the person in charge is Sherrene Teh.

First of all, welcome to our very own Grace Youth Camp 2006. I'm Jonathan, and oh yeah, people in YE knows me as Jonathan Chandra (lose the surname, people). Okay people well you guys don't know much about the camp this year right. I wasn't really specific about it. As part of the publication team, I am proud to present the details of this year's camp:-

Dudes and duddettes, this camp should not be miss!!!!!!!It is a wonderful camp and it is a life-changing camp. Furthermore there are loads of fun activities that would not be reveal till that very day. The word BORING is OUT OF THE CATEGORY because there is NO SUCH THING AS BORING!!!!!!!!!!
So come one, come all. Bring your friends and believe me you WILL NEVER REGRET!!!!!!! What's more is YOU WILL DEFINITELY WANT TO COME BACK!!!!!!!!!!
